Pastoral, Medical and Social Support

At Etherley Lane we strive to provide our pupils with the very best pastoral, medical and social support.
We have implemented a number of strategies to support pupils and their families at Etherley Lane:

We are a ‘Rights Respecting‘ school.

We have been identified as a good practice school for the ‘Educate and Celebrate’ equality agenda.

We work in partnership with pupils and families to implement the ‘Restorative Approach’ to solving problems.

We receive regular training to support pupils with medical conditions and work with specialist colleagues to ensure that our pupils receive the very best care in our school.

We have a full-time family liaison worker in school who supports parents/carers to work closely with us to ensure that all children have the opportunity to achieve their full potential during their time at Etherley Lane.

We work closely with many other professionals to provide social, emotional, pastoral and medical support and much of this work is personalised to meet the individual needs of children and their families.

If you would like to discuss your SEND requirements in detail please contact the school to arrange an appointment.
